A:Hello Louise,
The Waterproof Mattress Protector is not meant for cooling. We do carry a Cool Touch Mattress Pad. This will protect your mattress but it is not waterproof.

If your priority is to protect the mattress from accidents, I would recommend the waterproof one. Then you can use a fitted sheet made from a breathable and moisture wicking fabric to balance it out.
